Daniela is a graduate from the University of California, Davis with a B.A in Political Science and minors in Sociology and Communications. She was born and raised in East San Jose. Her passion for community work revolves around her personal experience of growing up in a family of small business owners. Her parents have been owners of a well-known business for 34 years in the heart of San Jose. She knows the beauty and struggles of owning a small business in the fast-growing Silicon Valley, and believes that they provide character, individuality, and are the backbone of the community.
Daniela also worked as an intern during the 2020 election to help broaden the constituency for a New Voters campaign. She assisted in building, organizing, and managing a coalition of groups that are interested in increasing the youth vote. Because of this experience she grew a passion for civic engagement and community outreach.
She believes it is important to be politicially involved at the national and local level and looks forward to being a voice for her community.
On her free time, Daniela loves trying new restaurants and coffee shops, traveling, and spending time with her family. She is very excited to be a part of the district 5 team and looks forward to being more at reach with her community.
